Happy 2017! We just came back from our holiday trip in Timisoara and I’ll share with you a Travel Guide on where to go and what to do here whether it’s New Year or any other time of the year!
WHERE TO EAT
Timisoara offers some lovely and great spots for food, whether it’s a classic dinner at L’loyd’s with walls full of mirrors and chandeliers or a chic Italian late dinner at Mercy Restaurant or why not the New Age styled Zai Apres Cafe for a plate of burgers.
Another place we loved with a more relaxed environment was Emotion. We kept going there for breakfast where, fun fact, almost every person who is a smoker gathered on their terrace. It was quite funny to see all those seats outdoor taken by smokers.
It is worth visiting Tempo for coffee or a smoothie if you are on the other side of the pedestrian area, coming from the south ( Victory Square ).
We celebrated NYE at the Jarvis Pub which had a free buffet for those who were hungry and an open bar for a small fee. We had time to chat, send our love to everybody before Midnight and after the fireworks at 12.00 a.m. we hit the dance floor ’till morning. A relaxed, friendly, and incredible fun place. Definetly recommend it!
WHERE TO GO SHOPPING
You can’t go wrong if you hit Iulius Mall. It is a bit of maze, and you might need to ask for directions a few times, we definetly needed to,lol. So it basically has every shop you need from Sephora, to the classic stores like ZARA, PullandBear, Bershka, and the high fashion stores like IL PASSO, Guess, Desigual, and apparently the biggest outdoorpark is their rooftop.
We spent a few hours there our last day. The Ginko Caffe was delightful and chic, with yummy croissants and lots and lots of latte flavours.
Hope this easy guide inspired you to visit Timisoara. I certainly can not wait to come back soon! See you next in Cluj.xoxo
