This look was inspired after my first visit at JOBEN BISTRO. Sitting there, sipping my pumpkin latte and being surrounded by the lovely steampunk deco, I fell in love with this location. In fact I’ve posted a review a few days ago. You can find it here.
So on this look: Since I had little time to create a new look based on the steampunk culture, I’ve decided that my statement piece will be the ballerina skirt I’ve picked up from ZARA a while ago. The ideea was to have as much dark color as posible since steampunk is based on more neutral colors or something leather colored orientated.
That’s why I’ve went for the rather feminine but weather resistant boots from GORETEX and for my head piece I’ve added this lovely steampunk hat that I’ve found at local store just in time for Halloween. This cute hat was originally a pick for my boyfriend since he is more of a steampunk fan than I am, but it was love at first sight for me as well.
Last but not least, I’ve accesorized my hands with this lovely pair of net mittens handshoes for a rather vintage look. This goes well with the rest of my picks because I’ve found them in black. This pair is black and fingerless which makes them especially sexy if you decided not to add a lot of accesories for your steampunk look.
My pick for a rather feminine touch to my top from RESERVED was to add a classic corsette with a green lace texture. You can find them at OYSHO in different colors.
I hope you like this steampunk orientated look! Btw. what are your dress-up ideas for this year’s Halloween?
